Before the New England Patriots play a game, we'll attempt to predict the team's inactive players.
Our best guess on the list for Sunday night's game against the Broncos:
Chris Barker: Rookie guard from Nevada, claimed on waivers from the Dolphins at the 53-man roster cutdown, has been inactive for seven games as he's on the developmental track.
Steve Beauharnais: Linebacker, a seventh-round pick out of Rutgers, is on the developmental track as he's been inactive for seven games this season.
Jake Bequette: Defensive end is fifth on the depth chart, and while this could be a DE-heavy type plan, there are only so many spots.
Alfonzo Dennard: Starting cornerback reportedly had a meniscus procedure on his knee last weekend and despite being on the practice field for limited work this week isn't expected to play.
Marcus Forston: First-year defensive tackle dressed last week but didn't play in the game, and with the Patriots expected to mostly be in sub packages against the Broncos, this doesn't project as a big defensive tackle type game.
Michael Hoomanawanui: Fourth-year tight end missed practice all week with a knee injury which could be more of a longer-term issue than a short-team situation.
Leon Washington: Veteran running back/kickoff returner is still not 100 percent as evidenced by not making the trip to Carolina for last Monday's game.
