Patriots waive CB Justin Green

November, 26, 2013
The Patriots waived cornerback Justin Green on Tuesday, just days after he made his NFL debut in a Week 12 win over the Broncos.

Green was promoted from the practice squad as the team dealt with extensive injury issues in the secondary, playing eight snaps on defense in addition to his special-teams contributions.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois, Green retains practice squad eligibility and could be re-signed to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

The Patriots have two open spots on their practice squad.
