Pats add OT R.J. Dill to practice squad

The Patriots announced that they have signed free agent offensive tackle R.J. Dill to their practice squad. Dill, an undrafted free agent from Rutgers, spent time on the Patriots practice squad from Sept. 3-13.

After playing three years at Maryland, Dill transferred to Rutgers to finish his college career, starting all 13 games for the Scarlet Knights at right tackle in 2012.

The 6-foot-6, 313-pounder also has spent time with the Jaguars.

New England also released tackle Patrick Ford from the practice squad.
