ESPN Boston's picks: Pats-Ravens
December, 20, 2013
Here's how ESPNBoston.com's experts see Sunday's New England Patriots-Baltimore Ravens game (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS) playing out. What's your prediction? Leave your pick in the comments section.
|RAVENS 27, PATRIOTS 21
Beware the teams in December that start gathering momentum and playing good football. I think this Ravens team is exactly that. One thing is for sure, both of these teams will be well-prepared and this game will be decided in the fourth quarter. The Ravens have a few more playmakers than the Patriots and I think that will be the difference. Elvis Dumervil or Terrell Suggs will make the play to end a fourth-quarter drive to win the game over the Patriots.
|RAVENS 23, PATRIOTS 20
I had been riding a hot streak picking the Patriots until last week, and now I think this is a tough spot for them. It's not a good week to possibly be playing musical chairs along the offensive line.
|RAVENS 23, PATRIOTS 21
Both teams need a win this Sunday, with Baltimore looking to stay in the playoff picture, while the Patriots are hopeful to secure a top two seed in the AFC. But given how strong the Ravens have been at home this season, their top ranked red zone defense and recent stretch of four straight wins, it's tough to pick against the defending Super Bowl champions.
