Weather conditions: It is unseasonably warm today, with temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s. Scattered thunderstorms are expected in the area around 4 p.m., according to Weather.com, which could impact warm-ups. Winds are around the 10-12 mile-per-hour range.
A feel for M&T Bank Stadium: The Ravens’ home stadium opened in 1998, as the team played its first two seasons in Memorial Stadium. This is a fully enclosed stadium, with mostly purple seats, with one middle layer of gray seats (capacity 71,008). At midfield, the Ravens’ “shield” is seen, which includes the word “Ravens", the letters B and R, and also the Maryland state flag. The Ravens’ “Ring of Honor” includes Matt Stover, Jonathan Ogden, Michael McCrary, Art Modell, Earnest Byner, Peter Boulware, Jamal Lewis and Ray Lewis.
Four more players to declare inactive: The Patriots have already ruled out starting left tackle Nate Solder (concussion) and receivers Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) and Josh Boyce (ankle). That means the Patriots have four more players to declare inactive, and those decisions are finalized and announced by 90 minutes before kickoff.
AFC East title on the line: If the Patriots win today, they will clinch the AFC East championship.
Stat of the day: Since 2008, the Patriots (73) and Ravens (71) have produced the most total wins.
Winter gets the call: Referee Ron Winter has been assigned today’s game. This is his first Patriots game of the season.
