Pats add RB McGuffie to practice squad

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots have signed running back Sam McGuffie to the practice squad and released running back Cierre Wood from the practice squad, it was announced on Friday morning.

McGuffie was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Raiders in August after a college career that began at Michigan and ended at Rice. He was later waived and spent time on the Cardinals practice squad.

Wood was signed to the practice squad on Nov. 5 after spending time on the Texans' active roster this season.

Below is a snapshot of the Patriots practice squad, which is full at eight players.
