We've spent much of the week focusing on the AFC Championship Game, but here's a quick look at the NFC Championship Game with our predictions:
Mike Reiss: 49ers 17, Seahawks 13
This 49ers run reminds me a bit of the Giants and Ravens over the past two seasons as they've hit their stride at the right time. Seattle is one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL, and the 49ers have struggled there of late, but I think the experience of having played there on an annual basis is more of a positive for them. If the 49ers find a way to limit running back Marshawn Lynch, I wonder if the Seahawks will have success finding another way to move the ball.
Field Yates: Seahawks 21, 49ers 16
The 49ers are playing exceptional football right now and have toughness that permeates from head coach Jim Harbaugh throughout the roster. But the Seahawks are no pushover and have been the most consistent NFC team this season. Seattle has been an unkind city to San Francisco of late, and although this one will be closer than recent tilts between the two teams in the Great Northwest, look for the Seahawks to ultimately prevail.
