With the NFL draft behind us, we have a little bit of unique perspective on the New England Patriots' 2014 schedule.
Specifically, we now know which notable rookies the Patriots will face.
Below are some highlights:
Week 2 at Vikings: The Pats could face quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, projected to compete for the starting job.
Week 3 vs. Oakland: Fifth-overall selection Khalil Mack should be an immediate starter at outside linebacker, while Derek Carr could conceivably win the quarterback competition (Matt Schaub is the likely starter).
Week 4 at Kansas City: Dee Ford exploded onto the scene for Auburn in 2013 and injects depth into one of the league's best pass rushes. The Chiefs' sub packages will be a nightmare to block.
Week 6 at Buffalo: The Bills mortgaged their 2015 draft to trade up for Sammy Watkins, the top receiver in this class.
Week 12 vs. Detroit: The Lions used the 10th overall pick on the best receiving tight end in the draft, Eric Ebron.
Week 13 at Green Bay: Hard-hitting and versatile safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix immediately upgrades the Packers' secondary.
