Some Patriots quick hits around the Web:
Duron Harmon a second-year player to watch. Safety Duron Harmon, a 2013 third-round draft choice, draws notice from colleague Field Yates as one of several second-year players around the NFL in position to make a jump. "He ably handled strong-safety and free-safety duties during his rookie season and showed reliability as an on-ball defender and tackler," Yates writes.
Former scout surprised at Easley pick. Bucky Brooks, the former NFL scout who now writes for NFL.com, grades each NFL's draft and he gives the Patriots a B-minus. "I must express my surprise at his willingness to snag defensive tackle Dominique Easley in the first round despite multiple ACL injuries. The Florida product flashed blue-chip qualities during his collegiate career, but his durability issues could backfire on the Patriots down the road," Brooks writes.
Gronk lands on All-Hinge Team. Mike Tanier of SportsonEarth.com puts together his "All-Hinge Team" and it includes tight end Rob Gronkowski. What is an "All-Hinge Team"? Check it out here.
Ryan and Beauharnais graduate from Rutgers. Andy Hart of Patriots.com writes on second-year players Logan Ryan and Steve Beauharnais graduating from Rutgers over the weekend.
