The New England Patriots and Washington Redskins announced Monday that the teams will hold three days of joint practices at the Redskins’ training camp facility in Richmond, Virginia, from Aug. 4-6 in advance of their preseason opener on Aug. 7.

For the Patriots, it could be the first of two joint practice sessions this preseason in back-to-back weeks. The Patriots and Eagles held joint sessions last August and could do so again this year, as they are set to face off in a preseason game at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 15.
