A few picked-up Patriots pieces from around the Web:
Two Patriots land in '10 most influential' list. Pat Kirwan of CBSSports.com shares his viewpoint on the 10 most influential people in football, and the Patriots are represented with owner Robert Kraft (No. 3) and quarterback Tom Brady (No. 9). Of Kraft, Kirwan writes: "The league's most influential owner serves on many committees, can sway owners to act in a unified manner and was very visible during the CBA negotiations. From the success of his franchise to how to get a stadium built, Kraft is the model for top-flight ownership."
Revis and Patriots among top storylines. Don Banks of SI.com writes on the top NFL storylines entering training camp and puts cornerback Darrelle Revis and the Patriots at No. 8. "Revis’s pride will be fully engaged this season in Foxborough, and that could turn out to be a very good thing indeed for a New England team that knows it must tighten things down defensively if a fourth Super Bowl ring is to ever be secured by quarterback Tom Brady and Bill Belichick," Banks writes.
Three things to watch, NFL.com style. Gregg Rosenthal, who oversees NFL.com's "Around the League" blog, lists three things to watch from each AFC East team entering training camp. His trio for the Patriots includes tight end Rob Gronkowski, backup quarterback and defensive line.
Gronkowski's place among league's tight ends. Bucky Brooks of NFL.com continues his "best of" series with tight ends, and lists Rob Gronkowski third. In Brooks' safeties list, Devin McCourty gets shut out.
