FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- When comprising a 46-man game-day roster, the role of special teams becomes especially important. With this in mind, here is a look at Patriots players showing up on multiple special teams units Sunday against the Jets:

Four units
S James Ihedigbo
WR Matthew Slater
LB Jeff Tarpinian
S Ross Ventrone
LB Tracy White

Three units
S Sergio Brown
LB Dane Fletcher

Two units
CB Antwaun Molden
LB Rob Ninkovich
RB Stevan Ridley

ANALYSIS: Linebacker Tracy White, who missed a tackle on Joe McKnight's 88-yard kickoff return, was credited with a team-high two special teams tackles. ... Cornerback Antwaun Molden was alert with a big fumble recovery and a tackle. ... While James Ihedigbo started at safety, his regular role as a "Core Four" player remains intact.
