Reports: Godsey to follow O'Brien to PSU

Patriots offensive assistant coach George Godsey will follow departing offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien to Penn State as the Nittany Lions' quarterback coach, according to multiple reports.

The 33-year old Godsey joined the Patriots last February after serving as running backs coach at Central Florida. Godsey, a quarterback at Georgia Tech from 1998-2001, was coached for his senior season by O'Brien, then the Yellow Jackets' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

O'Brien will call his own plays at Penn State and will not name an offensive coordinator. Godsey is the only Patriots assistant coach to follow O'Brien to State College.
