Kraft sees AFC East as toughest division
By Mike Reiss
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared his thoughts on the 2010 season at the team’s Kickoff Gala on Tuesday.
“I’m really excited about this season,” he told reporters. “Watching the practices and seeing the players play in the preseason, with the good Lord’s help and we don’t have too many injuries, I think we have an excellent football team that will compete.
“Unfortunately our division is probably the toughest division in the NFL this year. But you have to win all the games anyhow if you want to go to the playoffs. Our objective is to win our division.”
Kraft added that he enters 2010 prepared to appreciate the season because of the labor uncertainty.
“We’re working very hard to get a labor settlement. I probably appreciate this more knowing that since I’ve been in the league [in 1994], we’ve had labor peace. We’re going to do everything we can to help continue that,” he said. “This is the greatest sport in America. The fan support has been great for us.”
