QBs take step back with INTs

By Mike Reiss

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- One of the disappointing aspects of the Patriots' preseason finale was the return of the turnover.

Through three preseason games, Patriots quarterbacks had not thrown an intereption, but both Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer were picked off by the Giants.

Brady's came on a first-quarter long bomb to Randy Moss that had little chance of success from the time the football was released from Brady's hand. Hoyer's came on a botched screen pass that, in retrospect, he probably should have just drilled into the ground.

A look at the Patriots' quarterback breakdown this preseason:

Tom Brady
Snaps: 88
Total drives: 14
TD drives: 7
FG drives: 1
Passing stats: 36 of 50 for 476 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT

Brian Hoyer
Total drives: 19*
TD drives: 6
FG drives: 1
Passing stats: 32 of 57 for 471 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Zac Robinson
Total drives: 7
TD drives: 0
FG drives: 1
Passing stats: 6 of 15 for 71 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT
