Edelman questionable on injury report
By Mike Reiss
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who missed the season-opener with a foot injury, is questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. That gives him a 50-50 chance of playing.
Edelman was a game-time decision for the season-opener, working out for athletic trainers and members of the team's medical staff about three hours before last week's kickoff. He has had limited participation in practice throughout this week.
Meanwhile, running back Fred Taylor had full participation in practice Friday for the second straight day. He had been limited on Wednesday with a toe injury, but it does not appear to be serious.
Also, receiver Wes Welker had limited participation Friday for non-injury related reasons.
As expected, offensive lineman Nick Kaczur (back) and cornerback Terrence Wheatley (foot) are out for Sunday's game.
On the Jets side, cornerback Darrelle Revis had full participation in Friday's practice. He was limited Thursday with a tight hamstring. Safety Brodney Pool (ankle) is questionable.
