No compensatory picks for Pats

The NFL awarded compensatory draft choices to clubs today, and the Patriots did not receive any selections.
Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.
Tight end Benjamin Watson's signing with the Browns was part of the equation for the Patriots, although it wasn't enough to register in the NFL's complex formula. So the Patriots enter the draft with nine selections.
