Woodhead knocked out of Madden vote
By Mike Reiss
Patriots running back Danny Woodhead has been knocked out of the "Madden '12" cover vote by Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the round of eight. Rodgers earnd 56 percent of the fans' vote, compared to 44 percent for Woodhead.
Woodhead had defeated Bills receiver Steve Johnson in the first round, and Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks in the second round, before facing his toughest test in Rodgers, the Super Bowl MVP.
Last week, on a visit to ESPN, Woodhead said: "Shoot, if I got on the cover of 'Madden,' that would be pretty neat. But it's seriously not something I've thought about at all."
