Bart Scott: Pats owner had it right
By Mike Reiss
New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott sits down with ESPN's Sal Paolantonio for an interview (watch the video here), and when the topic is the lockout, he brings up Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
"I listened to [Robert] Kraft, and I don't agree with the Patriots on a lot of things," Scott says, "but I agree with him that we're on the verge of really irritating our fan base and damaging the fabric of the game."
Scott adds that the situation is "bordering on the verge of insanity."
"One of my concerns is that we not aggravate our fan base, and we have to be very careful. I think we're coming to that point now where we start to hurt ourselves collectively in the eyes of our fans," Kraft said.
At a time when owners and players can't find common ground in labor negotiations, it caught the eye that the owner of the Patriots and a well-known player from the Jets -- two rivals -- are reading off the same script.
