Poll: Biggest sophomore jump
By Mike Reiss
Players often make their most significant improvement from their rookie year to sophomore season. The benefits of being in the team's system for one year, coupled with a year working with the strength and conditioning coaches, often makes a big difference.
The Patriots have a large class of second-year players in 2011, although their progress could potentially be stunted by the lockout.
If you had to choose, who do you think will make the biggest jump?
Vote in the poll that is included in this blog entry. Since the poll was limited to five players, if you think it will be someone else, feel free to include that in the comments section of the blog entry.
EXTRA POINT: First-round draft choice Devin McCourty turned in a Pro Bowl rookie season. That's unusual. He wasn't included on the list because of how high he's already set the bar for himself.
