What to expect from coverage today
By Mike Reiss
Thursday is the first day the Patriots will have training camp practice open to the public, and here is what can be expected in this space.
I'll be joined by Mike Rodak, Chris Forsberg and Greg Payne, and all of us plan to fill the blog with sights and sounds from the first day. We will post observations after each practice, highlighting some of the different things that caught our eye.
Here is the schedule:
9 a.m. -- Bill Belichick news conference
9:30-10:30 a.m. -- Practice
10:30 a.m. -- Deion Branch, Jerod Mayo, Devin McCourty, Vince Wilfork media availability
12 p.m. -- Patriots online chat
2:30-5 p.m. -- Practice
I will be active on Twitter (@MikeReiss), although not during each practice. The Patriots ask reporters for their cooperation in the following areas:
1. Not reporting on offensive or defensive strategy, which includes formations, personnel groups or non-conventional plays.
2. No quoting players or coaches during a practice.
3. Not reporting on practice until the session is over.
At the end of the day, we'll have a wrap-up of all the highlights in a video package.
Thanks for following along. Let's get after it, and enjoy the ride.
