Hernandez among 7 not present

By Mike Reiss

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Injured tight end Aaron Hernandez was among those not spotted at the start of practice today, which reflects he is not yet 100 percent and his status for Sunday's game remains in question.

In addition to Hernandez, receiver Julian Edelman, running back Danny Woodhead, linebacker Jerod Mayo, offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, and defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth and Mike Wright were not spotted during the media-access period at the start of the session.

Because they are wearing throwback uniforms for the game, the Patriots switched things up at practice with all offensive players wearing red, and all defensive players wearing white. All players were in Pat Patriot throwback helmets.

Usually, offensive players wear white and defensive players blue.

The team worked on the lower field in shorts/sweatpants and light shoulder pads.
