Breaking down the RB snaps
By Mike Reiss
INDIANAPOLIS -- A look at the snaps played by the team's running backs in the first half (including penalties):
Danny Woodhead -- 16 of 29
BenJarvus Green-Ellis -- 9 of 29
When the Patriots went to the air on their impressive 96-yard scoring drive, Woodhead was on for 13 of 16 snaps on the march. He ended up on the receiving end of Tom Brady's 4-yard touchdown strike.
The Patriots have run four plays without a running back on the field.
If the Patriots continue to attack through the air like they did late in the second quarter, look for more of Woodhead. He's emerging as one of the team's top options through 30 minutes -- with 3 catches for 23 yards, and 5 rushes for 13 yards.
