Slater limps off with injury

By Mike Reiss

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Special teams captain Matthew Slater limped off the field after covering a punt in the fourth quarter, and didn't come back on to the field for the next special teams play.

Slater's injury is the third for a Patriots player in the game, following running back Brandon Bolden (knee) and safety Patrick Chung (shoulder).

Running back Shane Vereen replaced Slater on the punt return unit after Slater's injury.
