Penalty watch: First 2 for Brady
By Mike Reiss
In updating the weekly "penalty watch," quarterback Tom Brady joined the list for the first time with two intentional grounding penalties, as did safety Patrick Chung (illegal contact, pass interference). Also, linebacker Brandon Spikes pulled into a three-way tie for most penalties on the team, while Spikes and defensive end Rob Ninkovich drew their first holding penalties of the season.
The breakdown of the season (includes declined penalties):
Patriots safety Patrick Chung tried to defend Seahawks receiver Golden Tate but was called for pass interference. Chung later left the game with an arm injury.
