Mayo, five others not spotted at practice

By Mike Rodak

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo was one of six players not spotted at the start of Thursday's practice.

Mayo briefly left Sunday's win over the New York Jets with an apparent left arm injury, but returned to the game with a wrap on his elbow. He was present at the start of the team's Tuesday walk-through.

Also not spotted on Thursday was defensive end Trevor Scott. The veteran left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury and did not return, but was spotted at the walk-through on Tuesday and in the locker room on Wednesday.

Second-year cornerback Ras-I Dowling, who also left Sunday's game with a quad injury and was not spotted on Tuesday, was not seen at the start of Wednesday's practice.

Meanwhile, safety Steve Gregory (hip), linebacker Tracy White (foot), and running back Brandon Bolden (knee), who all missed Sunday's game, remained out of practice.

White was seen in the locker room on Wednesday no longer wearing a walking boot, while Bolden was seen without crutches on Tuesday. Gregory spoke to reporters on Tuesday, but said no decision had been made on whether he will travel to London later this week.
