Arrington returns; Hernandez baby arrives

By Mike Rodak

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington (head) returned to practice on Tuesday, while four other players remained out.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez was not spotted at the start of practice. His brother, University of Miami graduate assistant coach D.J. Hernandez, tweeted Tuesday afternoon that Hernandez was celebrating the birth of his first child. Today is also Hernandez's 23rd birthday.

Hernandez did not play in the Patriots' last game in London after suffering a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury, according to ESPN senior NFL writer John Clayton, and did not practice last Thursday during the team's bye week.

It is unclear if Hernandez would have practiced on Tuesday if not for his family situation, and it is also unclear when Hernandez will return to practice. The Patriots do not have to release an injury report until Wednesday.

Also not spotted at the start of Tuesday's practice were running back Brandon Bolden (knee), linebacker Tracy White (foot), and defensive end Trevor Scott (hamstring).

The Patriots were in full pads for the second straight practice.
