About all those points ...
By ESPN Stats & Information
The Elias Sports Bureau dug up some interesting numbers on the Patriots' stunning point total over their last two games:
* The Patriots scored five touchdowns in the second quarter and rolled to a 49-19 victory over the Jets in the Meadowlands -- and that was 10 fewer points than they put up in a 59-24 victory over the Colts four days earlier.
* The Patriots' total of 108 points over two games stands as the third-highest in the history of the NFL; the Chicago Cardinals scored 112 points over two games in 1948, and the Los Angeles Rams ran up 135 points over two games in 1950.
* Similarly, the Patriots’ total of 190 points over their last four games is the third-highest four-game total in the history of the league.
