Bruschi's take: Brady is 'no dummy'

By ESPNBoston.com

Over the last day and a half, a debate has blossomed on whether to view Tom Brady's contract extension as the act of a selfless player putting his team above himself or a shrewd business man increasing the amount of money he has guaranteed.

Here’s former teammate Tedy Bruschi’s take (from ESPN Radio; around the 2:45 mark of this clip):

“Tom, above anything else, is a good business man also. He’s no dummy. He’s a smart player on the field, he’s a smart player off it in the business world. In an age where you’re playing football, a sport where there are no guaranteed contracts, to get $57 million guaranteed? Where do I sign?”
