Patriots to hold joint practices with Eagles
By Mike Reiss
The Patriots will hold joint practices with the Eagles in Philadelphia prior to the teams’ preseason opener on Aug. 9. The practices, which will be closed to the public, are scheduled for Aug. 6 and 7, according to the Eagles.
The Patriots are also planning to hold joint practices with the Buccaneers prior to the teams’ preseason game Aug. 16. Those practices will be in Foxborough.
In recent years, Patriots coach Bill Belichick has cited joint practices as a positive experience for the team, in part because it raises the level of competitiveness.
First-year Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has spoken in the past about how he’s appreciated the opportunity to talk football with Belichick.
