Checking in on Armond Armstead
By Mike Reiss
FOXBOROUGH -- First-year defensive lineman Armond Armstead has opened Patriots training camp on the non-football illness list, but his absence is for a different reason than a past heart condition that led to him going undrafted in 2012 and landing in the Canadian Football League, according to Bill Belichick.
Belichick, as expected, didn’t go into detail when asked if there was any long-term concern with Armstead’s status.
“If we have anything, we’ll talk about it,” he said. “Not at this time.”
