Wake-up call: Day 2 at the combine

By Field Yates

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NFL combine rolls on today, with a new slate of players and coaches scheduled to meet with the media.

From a player perspective, the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers are scheduled to meet with the media today. Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater, and Central Florida’s Blake Bortles are considered three of the top prospects at the position, and one of them could land with the Houston Texans, who own the top pick in the draft.

In a recent conference call, NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock highlighted the receiver class as one of the best and deepest in recent memory. The Patriots drafted two in the top four rounds last year, but receiver could be an area of interest if Julian Edelman leaves in free agency.
