ORLANDO, Fla. -- Free-agent wide receiver Kenny Britt won't be signing with the Patriots, owner Robert Kraft told the Boston Herald's Ron Borges.

"We won't be signing him," Kraft said, according to Borges. "That won't happen."

Britt, whose off-field transgressions have drawn as much attention as his play on the field, visited with the Patriots last week.

While in Buffalo visiting with the Bills, Britt spoke highly of his visit with the Patriots while mentioning that Bill Belichick wasn't present.

Free-agent wide receiver Kenny Britt visited the Buffalo Bills today, and ESPN.com NFL Nation reporter Mike Rodak had the chance to catch up with him.

Britt, of course, visited the Patriots on Monday.

"It was actually better than I thought it was," Britt told Rodak of his stop in New England. "A lot of guys, a lot of people out there that don’t know or been on the inside or think it’s strict and things like that, but it’s laid back when I got there. They got good people there. I actually worked out for them. The workout went great. I had a good time."

Britt didn't get the chance to meet with Bill Belichick, however.

"Actually Bill was out of the building at the time I showed up," Britt told Rodak. "I left a thank you card on his desk [laughing]."

Britt, the former Tennessee Titan, has had visits with the Rams, Patriots, Redskins and Bills.

As for when Britt might make a decision, he said, "It’s crazy, it might be in a couple days. Throughout this weekend, me and my wife [are] going to sit down and we’re going to talk about it and what’s actually best for us and me mentally as I go through this process. Hopefully the next three days."

Britt meets with Pats, leaves without deal

Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver and first-round pick Kenny Britt visited with the Patriots on Monday.

He's the latest wide receiver to come through Foxborough, as the team also has had Jason Avant in for a visit and finalized a deal with Brandon LaFell on Monday.

Britt is an interesting player who has flashed speed and explosiveness at points of his career, but has had maturity and off-field issues as well as knee troubles. He is a former Rutgers standout, and given the pipeline from Rutgers to New England, he's generated significant interest among Patriots followers.

For now, that's the extent of what we know. He has not been signed and will visit the Washington Redskins next, according to an NFL Network report.

He also has visited with the St. Louis Rams, who are coached by Jeff Fisher. Fisher was the Titans' coach when the team drafted Britt back in 2009.

The fact that Britt is leaving New England without a deal is not a tell-tale sign that the Patriots are not going to sign him, but no deal has been consummated at this time.

Report: WR Britt to visit Patriots

Free-agent wide receiver Kenny Britt, a 2009 first-round draft choice of the Tennessee Titans, is scheduled to visit the Patriots on Sunday, the NFL Network reports.

The 6-foot-3, 223-pound Britt played at Rutgers under Greg Schiano, one of Bill Belichick's close friends in the coaching fraternity. Britt hasn't met expectations in the NFL, in part due to injury and non-football reasons, and is coming off a season in which he played in 12 games and totaled 11 receptions.

The Patriots agreed to terms with free-agent receiver Julian Edelman on Saturday, and the reported visit with Britt indicates the team is still considering adding to its receiving corps.

Free-agent receivers Brandon LaFell (Panthers) and Jason Avant (Eagles) previously visited the team.
