As if there weren't enough issues surrounding the Red Sox, soon-to-be-free-agent David Ortiz on Wednesday told ESPN's Colleen Dominguez he isn't sure he wants to return to the team next season.

"There's too much drama, man," Ortiz told Dominguez in reference to the Red Sox (watch the interview above). "There's too much drama. I have been thinking about a lot of things. I don't know if I want to be part of this drama for next year."

When asked whether he'd consider joining the Yankees, Ortiz danced around the question but said it would be something he'd consider.

"That's something I gotta think about," Ortiz said. "I've been here on the Red Sox a long time, and I've seen how everything goes down between these two ballclubs."

He also pointed out the decided lack of drama in the Bronx in the wake of the Yankees' early playoff exit.

"They lost just like we did, they just went to the first round of the playoffs. I ain't heard nobody coming out killing everybody just because they lost."

Ouch.
