The Red Sox on Tuesday added one outfielder and lost another, activating Cody Ross and reportedly putting Scott Podsednik on the disabled list as the corresponding move.

Ross had missed 27 games after fracturing the navicular bone in his left foot on May 18.

Podsednik came out of Sunday's game with a groin injury after grounding into a double play to end the fifth inning. Podsednik was batting .387 since being activated on May 22 and started 16 games for the Sox. The Red Sox have used 25 different outfield combinations this season, most in the majors.

Here is tonight's lineup:

1. Mike Aviles, SS
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez, RF
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. Kevin Youkilis, 1B
6. Will Middlebrooks, 3B
7. Cody Ross, LF
8. Ryan Kalish, CF
9. Kelly Shoppach, C
SP -- Clay Buchholz, RHP
