Mark L. Baer/US PresswireCody Ross gave the Fenway Faithful something to cheer about late Thursday night. Now, the Sox are getting healthy again (Jacoby Ellsbury, Carl Crawford and Dustin Pedroia have all returned in the last week), Clay Buchholz is coming off one of his best starts of the season, they're 5-2 since the All-Star break and are coming off their most dramatic win of the season, a walkoff courtesy of Cody Ross.
They're also three games over .500 and a game back in the wild card race (though trailing four teams and tied with another).
The Red Sox get a weekend reprieve against the fading Blue Jays before facing a couple of tough tests on the road in Texas and at Yankee Stadium next week that will show us how this team really stacks up.
Still, are you starting to get a good feeling about these Red Sox? Or do you still think they're underachievers bound to do nothing more than get our hopes up only to let us down? Share your thoughts in the poll above and in the comments section?
