Sox glad to be home vs. Farrell's Jays
"I'm hoping [the players] got the lousy taste of all those losses out of their mouth on the off day," Valentine said. "I think they are looking forward to playing for our home crowd here, and everyone seems to be healthy, that's good news."
It'll be interesting to see the kind of reception Valentine receives this homestand, especially with current Blue Jays manager and former Red Sox pitching coach John Farrell in town. With this season all but over for the Red Sox, the speculation has begun that the club will attempt to hire Farrell, who still has one year remaining on his current contract.
