Quiz answers: Everyone struggles at times
Not Acing The Test
Pitcher A is Detroit Tigers ace right-hander Justin Verlander, who endured a rough patch of five starts from May 11 to June 1.
Pitcher B, of course, is Sox lefty Jon Lester, who hasn't enjoyed great success over his last five starts, from May 20 through June 11.
It goes to show that even the best can run into trouble from time to time. Verlander has enjoyed a pretty good track record over the long haul, as has Lester, who gets a chance to turns things around in Sunday's finale against the Orioles.
