BOSTON -- Red Sox manager John Farrell wasn’t ready to officially announce his lineup for Game 6 of the ALCS against the Detroit Tigers, but he did say Xander Bogaerts will start at third again. He also said that Stephen Drew will remain at shortstop, Jarrod Saltalamacchia will start behind the plate and Mike Napoli will remain at first.

Bogaerts replaced Will Middlebrooks at third base for Game 5. Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored during Boston’s 4-3 win Thursday night at Detroit.

Drew has been struggling at the plate, batting .059 in the ALCS, but Farrell says he has confidence in his shortstop.

Farrell also said he’s given some thought to moving Shane Victorino from the second spot in the order, but the manager hasn’t made a final decision.
