A 'grounded' Farrell set to start over

February, 6, 2014

Manager John Farrell says the World Series champion Red Sox will approach this season with the same mindset they had last February in spring training -- and "not the final Game 6 against St. Louis."

"It's back to pretty much a building-block approach to prepare for '14," he said.

Farrell spoke with Kevin Negandhi at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., on Thursday about the expectations for the Sox this year, free meals, beards, the Yankees' spending spree and Curt Schilling's cancer diagnosis. Check it out.
