FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Good afternoon from the Fort, where the 2014 Boston Red Sox are packed and ready to leave on a flight bound for Baltimore and the regular season.

Designated hitter David Ortiz is taking a second day off in a row versus the Minnesota Twins on Saturday because of a sore right calf, but he is good to go for Monday in Baltimore, manager John Farrell said. Ortiz finished spring training with a .054 average (2-for-37) with the two hits being a double and a home run. He had 13 strikeouts and drew three walks.
