The Red Sox tonight will try to avoid their first four-game losing streak since the Bobby Valentine regime when they face the visiting Texas Rangers at Fenway.

Before the Brewers took three in a row over the weekend, the Red Sox had not been swept at Fenway in a series of three or more games since September of 2012, when John Farrell’s Blue Jays accomplished it against Bobby V’s last-place crew.

The Sox had five three-game skids under Farrell in 2013, but on all five occasions they won the fifth game to end the slide.

They’ll try to do the same tonight with John Lackey making his second start of the season.

Here’s the Boston lineup:

1. Daniel Nava, LF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Mike Napoli, 1B
5. Grady Sizemore, CF
6. Xander Bogaerts, SS
7. A.J. Pierzynski, C
8. Jonathan Herrera, 3B
9. Jackie Bradley Jr., RF
SP -- John Lackey, RHP
