Sox lineup: Middlebrooks back at third

Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks returns to the lineup Friday night against the Toronto Blue Jays after a 15-day stint on the DL with a strained calf. He'll replace Brock Holt, who was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday after hitting .400 with a .458 on-base percentage in 24 plate appearances.

Also, Shane Victorino, who went 1-for-5 in his season debut on Thursday against the Yankees, is back in right field and batting second.

Red Sox pitcher Jake Peavy (2-2, 3.33 ERA) is on the mound against Blue Jays ace Mark Buehrle (4-0, 0.64 ERA).
