Nava cracks starting lineup in series finale

June, 4, 2014
Daniel Nava is in the Red Sox starting lineup tonight for the first time since May 28, hitting eighth and playing left field.

The scuffling Nava is hitting just .130 on the season and has shuttled recently between the Red Sox and Triple-A Pawtucket as he tries to regain the form that made him an integral part of last year’s championship team.

Here is the full lineup for the series finale in Cleveland, where the threat of rain looms:

1. Brock Holt, 1B
2. Xander Bogaerts, 3B
3. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. A.J. Pierzynski, C
6. Grady Sizemore, RF
7. Stephen Drew, SS
8. Daniel Nava, LF
9. Jackie Bradley Jr., CF
SP -- Brandon Workman, RHP
