BOSTON -- One day before the trading deadline last year, the Red Sox made the Jake Peavy deal, acquiring the veteran pitcher from the Chicago White Sox as part of a three-player deal in which the Sox sent shortstop Jose Iglesias to the Detroit Tigers.
