Cespedes: 'On my way' to Boston

Red Sox assistant general manager Mike Hazen said Friday morning he wasn’t sure whether new additions Yoenis Cespedes and Allen Craig would be available for Friday night’s game against the Yankees at Fenway Park (both had cross-country flights, as did Joe Kelly), but said he thought they would at least be in Boston before the end of the night.

“Not exactly sure when all the flights line up,” Hazen said in an interview on Boston sports radio station WEEI. “In the end I think all will be somewhere in and around the city, whether they get here in time for the game [we don’t know]. Bringing guys west to east is tricky in order to both get them here and have them active for the game after a 6-hour flight.”

Cespedes tweeted Friday morning that he was en route to Boston:
