Ortiz 20-plus HRs for 8th straight season

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- ESPN researcher Katherine Sharp, burning the midnight oil, passes along this note regarding David Oritz, who homered twice Monday night and now has 21 this season.

Ortiz has hit 20-plus home runs in eight straight seasons with the Red Sox. He is the fourth player in team history with at least eight straight seasons of 20-plus HRs.
