As we’ve been reporting all week, Jacoby Ellsbury will continue his rehabilitation assignment Saturday in Pawtucket, assuming he gets the green light from the Red Sox medical staff.

Ellsbury is scheduled to be examined later today by the Red Sox medical staff, and there is little reason to suspect they will find anything that would preclude him from continuing his rehab from five fractured ribs. Ellsbury played in three games for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox, including nine innings in the outfield on Thursday.
