Lowell sore but OK; Saturday lineup

By Gordon Edes

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Mike Lowell's left knee was stiff Saturday and he was walking with a slight limp, but the Red Sox infielder was relieved that the injury wasn't more than a bruise just under the kneecap.

"I know I won't be doing anything today,'' said Lowell, who had been scheduled to serve as DH in Saturday's exhibition game against the Orioles in Sarasota. "We'll see how it feels tomorrow.''

With David Ortiz spared the bus ride to Sarasota, Tug Hulett has been recruited to serve as DH in Lowell's place.

Here's the lineup:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury, cf
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2b
3. Victor Martinez, 1b
4. Adrian Beltre, 3b
5. Jeremy Hermida, lf
6. Marco Scutaro, ss
7. Josh Reddick, rf
8. Tug Hulett, DH
9. Dusty Brown, c
