Victorino's hamstring flares up again
By Joe McDonald
BOSTON -- Red Sox manager John Farrell removed right fielder Shane Victorino from the game after the eighth inning during Friday’s 10-3 loss to the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.
“He’s battling a hamstring issue," Farrell said. "He didn’t want to come out of the game but based on the schedule we’re in and just watching him tonight, felt like it was good at that point to get him off his feet,” Farrell said. “That was more precautionary, in my decision, to get him out of the game.”
Victorino went 0-for-4.
